Русалки: кто они?

Русалки - Признанный прародитель морских дев – как ни парадоксально «Противоположного полу». Это вавилонский бог Оаннес, который долго менял форму, пока не стал существом с головой и торсом мужчины и рыбьим хвостом вместо ног. А первой рыбохвостой женщиной стала Атаргате – сирийская богиня Луны и рыболовства. Женские духи вод - водяницы, русалки выплывают на поверхность только под вечер, а днем спят. Они заманивают прекрасными песнями путников, а потом затаскивают их в омут. Большой праздник у русалок - Купала. В ночь на Купалу русалки танцуют, веселятся, водят хороводы вместе с Купалой и Костромой, которые утонули в реке.

«Их было шестеро, все прехорошенькие, но милее всех самая младшая, с кожей чистой и нежной, как лепесток розы, с глазами синими и глубокими, как море. Только у нее, как, впрочем и у остальных, ног не было, а вместо них был хвост, как у рыб. День деньской играли принцессы во дворце, в просторных палатках, где росли живые цветы. Раскрывались большие янтарные окна, и внутрь вплывали рыбы, совсем как у нас ласточки влетают в дом, когда окна стояли настежь, только рыбы подплывали прямо к маленьким  принцессам, брали из их рук еду и позволяли себя гладит. Русалки живут триста лет, а умирая,  превращаются в морскую пену.
